Quotes (#60)

It BEA week, you guys!!!!!!
I can't believe it finally upon us. It feels like I've been waiting for this week to get here for ages and now I don't know what to do with myself. Excuse me while I flail around.

Alrighty, I'm done (for now). Let's do some quotes then.

“Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.” - Margaret Fuller

“It is thanks to my evening reading alone that I am still more or less sane.” - W.G. Sebald, Vertigo

“Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do.” - Benjamin Spock

“I had already found that it was not good to be alone, and so made companionship with what there was around me, sometimes with the universe and sometimes with my own insignificant self; but my books were always my friends, let fail all else.” - Joshua Slocum, Sailing Alone around the World

“There is a sacredness in tears....They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition and of unspeakable love.” - Washington Irving

“These are the times that try men's souls.” - Thomas Paine, The American Crisis

“What a pity every child couldn't learn to read under a willow tree...” - Elizabeth George Speare, The Witch of Blackbird Pond

That's it for me for today. I leave Wednesday afternoon and I still have a bunch of stuff to get done before then. I should probably get off the internet then, right? Alright alright. I'll go be productive. Have a great week, Swooners!
